Careful club selection is essential because the hilly layout and elevation changes will affect distance more than a flat course.

Expect coastal winds that can shift during the round and be prepared to take an extra club when hitting into the breeze.

The course uses both bentgrass and zoysia (komai) greens, so green speeds and firmness can vary—read each putting surface and adjust pace accordingly.

Play conservatively off the tee on some holes to find the safest landing areas and leave yourself favorable approach angles into elevated or sloping greens.

Be aware of seasonal sunset times—late afternoon tee times in shoulder seasons may finish in fading light, so plan rounds accordingly.
