The hilly layout demands careful club selection on both tee shots and approaches because elevation changes can significantly alter carry distances.

Many holes offer views of Tokyo Bay on clear days, but the prevailing sea breezes can affect ball flight so factor wind into club choice, especially on exposed tees and approaches.

Greens use bentgrass and zoysia — bent sections tend to be faster and firmer while zoysia holds the ball more, so test speed on the first putt and aim to leave yourself below the hole.

All carts have GPS navigation, so rely on yardages and hole layouts to plan conservative strategies around hazards and sloping fairways.

Soft spikes are recommended and maintaining a steady pace of play helps preserve the club's emphasis on etiquette and comfortable rounds for everyone.
