Biratori Country Club is an 18-hole forest course located in Hokkaido, surrounded by natural woodlands that create a park-like atmosphere. The front nine, known as the Benkei Course, features varied elevations and a dynamic layout, while the back nine, called the Yoshitsune Course, offers a flatter terrain with subtle undulations. Designed by Tsuneo Abe, the course measures 6,468 yards with a par of 72 and has bentgrass greens. The front nine (Benkei) features noticeable elevation changes, so choose clubs carefully for uphill and downhill shots.

The back nine (Yoshitsune) is flatter but has subtle undulations, so precise distance control on approach shots is important.

Tree-lined fairways demand accuracy off the tee, so favor position over pure distance to avoid trouble in the rough or among the trees.

Bentgrass greens can be relatively fast and firm in summer, so be conservative with putt speed and pay attention to subtle breaks.

Hokkaido can be breezy at times, so always factor wind into club selection on longer holes and exposed tees.
