The course sits on gently rolling hills so account for elevation changes when selecting clubs and favour controlled tee shots to find the fairway.

At about 6,611 yards the layout is moderate in length — long hitters may reach some par-5s in two but prioritize position over power on tighter landing areas.

Bentgrass greens tend to be smooth and can play firm in dry or windy conditions, so try to leave approaches below the hole and avoid overshooting.

Wind can pick up, especially in the afternoons, so check conditions before each tee and adjust aim and club selection on exposed holes.

Soft-spike footwear and good balance are important on sloped lies and walking between holes, so bring stable shoes and pace yourself on hilly stretches.
