The hilly layout with uphill, downhill and dogleg holes makes accurate tee shots and smart club selection essential to leave favorable approach angles.

Many holes reward position off the tee rather than raw distance, so prioritize accuracy to set up shorter, more manageable approach shots.

Bentgrass greens are generally true but can show subtle, fast breaks, so spend extra time reading putts and repair pitch marks promptly.

Wind can influence play on exposed ridges and higher-elevation holes—check conditions and adjust club selection, especially on longer par 3s and elevated approaches.

Carts are allowed on fairways for a fee starting June 2025 and the course requires soft spikes, so plan footwear and cart usage accordingly and remember to repair divots and pitch marks.

Hita in Oita has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers, mild winters, a rainy (tsuyu) season in June–July, and occasional typhoons in late summer to early autumn; spring and autumn are generally drier and more stable for golf.

Spring (March–May) and autumn (October–November) are best for comfortable temperatures and clear views, while the rainy season (June–July) and peak typhoon months in late summer are less ideal.

During play, please refrain from wearing clothing not sold as golf (sports) wear, such as T-shirts or jeans. Please wear golf shoes with soft spikes or spike-less soles during play. For safety and heatstroke prevention, wearing a hat is recommended during play.
