The course is hilly with noticeable elevation changes, so adjust club selection carefully—many holes play longer or shorter than their yardage indicates.

Desmond Muirhead's design rewards accuracy off the tee, so favor controlled long shots or fairway metals over the driver when fairways are narrow or sloping.

Bentgrass greens tend to be receptive but can run quick with subtle breaks, so aim for the center of the green and be conservative on approaching pins with tricky slopes.

Wind from Tokyo Bay and local hill effects can shift during the day, especially in the afternoon, so check wind direction on elevated tees and play conservative lines when it's gusty.
