The course rewards distance but several long holes require strategic tee placement and often a sensible lay-up rather than firing at a distant green.

Many greens are protected by numerous greenside bunkers, so prioritize accuracy on approach shots and plan conservative targets when the pin is tight.

Because the layout is hilly with elevation changes, carefully adjust club selection for uphill and downhill lies as shots will play longer or shorter than yardage suggests.

Bentgrass greens can be relatively true—focus on precise distance control and closely read subtle breaks around the holes.

Wind from the surrounding mountains can be changeable and gusty, so check conditions at each tee and be prepared to alter trajectory and club choice; note that soft spikes are required.
