At 7,211 yards the course rewards distance—long hitters can take advantage of reachable par-5s and long par-4s but accuracy remains important.

The hilly, rolling layout produces many uphill and downhill lies so club up on ascents and be cautious of ball position on uneven stances.

Exposed stretches can be affected by coastal winds from Tokyo Bay, so always check wind direction and play lower trajectories when it's gusty.

Bentgrass greens tend to run true but firm up in dry summer months, so pay close attention to speed on approach shots and on putts.

Many holes feature narrower landing areas and natural contours, so conservative course management—aiming for the center of the fairway or laying up when necessary—reduces the chance of big numbers.
