Favor accuracy off the tee over raw distance because the strategic routing rewards well-placed drives more than power alone.

Bentgrass greens are generally receptive but can run quick and have subtle breaks, so take time to read putts and be cautious with long lag attempts.

Wind can be variable on exposed ridges and elevated tees, so check conditions before committing to a club and shot shape.

Remember soft spikes are required and from April you can often book weekday rounds for two players without extra charges, which is handy for practice rounds or playing with a friend.
