Tee shots reward accuracy more than raw distance because bunkers, trees, and strategic hazards will punish wayward drives.

Use the clear sightlines—many tees have the green in view—so pick conservative targets rather than attempting risky low-percentage shots.

Approach shots must respect the undulating bentgrass greens, as short-sided misses or greedy long approaches can leave very difficult up-and-downs.

Several greens are protected by bunkers and water hazards, so consider laying up on riskier holes rather than forcing carry over trouble.

Wind from the broad Sorachi Plain can influence club selection on exposed holes, so check conditions and adjust your yardage accordingly.
