Shin Chiba Country Club offers an expansive 54-hole layout consisting of three 18-hole courses: Asagiri, Tsukumo, and Tachibana. Located about an hour’s drive from the Tokyo metropolitan area, the club provides easy access and convenient starts from near the clubhouse. The course features two types of greens—Bentgrass and Zoysia—and a spacious driving range with 16 bays extending 200 yards. Throughout the year, the course is beautifully lined with seasonal flowers and trees, creating a scenic environment for golfers. The hilly layout rewards accurate tee shots and course management more than pure distance, so prioritize fairway placement over trying to overpower holes.

With both Bentgrass and Zoysia (korai) greens on site, check green speed early and adjust your putting stroke for faster bent greens and slower, grain-influenced Zoysia surfaces.

Many holes feature elevation changes so account for uphill/downhill shots by clubbing up or down and confirm yardages on the scorecard or rangefinder.

Tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers make conservative layups and positional play valuable to avoid big numbers.

Use the roomy driving range (200 yards) to dial in distances for uphill and downhill shots before your round.
