On the Old Course, wide fairways reward confident tee shots—take advantage of length but keep misses in play to avoid recovery trouble.

The renovated New Course is longer and more strategic, so prioritize position over pure distance to set up comfortable approaches.

Bentgrass greens are typically receptive but can run medium to fast, so read putts carefully and adjust pace for subtle breaks.

Hilly terrain means frequent elevation changes—club up for uphill shots and expect extra roll on downhill lies when selecting clubs.

Wind from the bay can be variable on exposed holes, so check conditions before each hole and choose extra club into the wind.
