Although the total yardage is modest at about 6,505 yards, the hilly layout and frequent bunkers reward accuracy off the tee rather than raw distance.

Many holes feature valleys and tight landing areas, so favor controlled shots and aim for the wider portion of the fairway to avoid difficult recovery lies.

Bentgrass greens are generally true and can be quicker than they look with subtle breaks, so trust your reads and be conservative with downhill putts.

Expect blind or semi‑blind shots and significant elevation changes—take an extra club for uphill approaches and one less for downhill.

Wind can be variable on exposed ridges and in the valleys, so check the flags and adjust club selection and trajectory accordingly.
