Wide fairways allow a free swing but the overall yardage is long so accurate tee shots still matter to avoid big numbers.

The hilly terrain brings frequent elevation changes so carefully judge club selection for uphill and downhill approach shots.

Take advantage of fairway cart access when permitted to save walking and reach your ball more easily, but always confirm course rules and weather conditions first.

Bentgrass greens are generally true and can run quick when firm, so test your putt speed before attacking the pin.

Exposed ridges and higher holes can be windier than lower holes, so account for wind direction and strength and consider taking an extra club into the wind.
