Accuracy off the tee is more valuable than pure distance because many holes are separated by pine groves and tree-lined landing areas.

Expect frequent elevation changes—plan club selection carefully and consider taking an extra club for uphill approach shots and one less for long downhill shots.

Bentgrass greens tend to be true and can run moderately fast, so spend time reading subtle breaks and control approach spin to avoid big putts.

Wind from the Nasu range can be variable and gusty, so check conditions at the first tee and play conservatively into the wind; long hitters can gain an edge but must avoid tree trouble.
