Account for elevation changes on nearly every hole and adjust club selection—take one more club for long uphill shots and one less for downhill approaches.

Many holes feature ravine crossings and uneven lies so favour placement off the tee rather than raw distance to avoid trouble.

Bentgrass greens tend to be firm and can be fast when well maintained, so focus on precise approach shots and careful reads on sloping surfaces.

Treat the signature short hole as a risk–reward shot; when the pin is in a tight position consider a conservative play to secure par.

Wind can pick up on exposed ridges and tees—check conditions before committing to longer carries and aim slightly into the breeze when necessary.
