Many holes traverse rolling, hilly terrain so club selection must account for elevation changes on both approaches and long shots.

Wind off Lake Kasumigaura can be variable and strong on exposed holes, so check wind direction on every tee and play conservatively into the breeze.

Bentgrass greens are typically true and can be quick, so prioritize hitting the correct side of the green and leaving yourself uphill putts to avoid long two‑putts.
