The hilly layout produces many uphill and downhill shots so always adjust club selection for elevation changes rather than relying solely on yardage.

At 6,753 yards the course favors accuracy and course management—prioritize fairway placement over bombing driver when trees and slopes penalize errant tee shots.

Several holes border a poetic pond and tree-lined corridors, so play conservative layups where water or tight lines threaten to make recovery difficult.

Greens alternate between bentgrass and zoysia, so confirm which surface is in play because bentgrass is often quicker while zoysia can be firmer and less receptive to spin.

Exposed ridges near Nunobiki Mountain can create variable crosswinds so keep ball flight lower into the wind, account for gusts on approach shots, and wear soft spikes for stable footing on sloped lies.
