The course's mostly flat, gently rolling terrain and wide fairways reward controlled tee shots and make accurate iron play more important than sheer distance.

Greens are bentgrass and tend to be receptive, so aim for the center of the green and plan for subtle, medium-paced breaks.

Being close to the Pacific, coastal winds can affect ball flight on exposed holes, so check wind direction on every tee and adjust club selection accordingly.

With a modest total yardage for a par 72, there are scoring opportunities—be willing to be aggressive on reachable holes but avoid unnecessary risks around the greens.
