Fairways are generally wide so you can be aggressive off the tee, but avoid leaving yourself on severe side slopes where recovery becomes difficult.

Account for elevation changes on many holes and club up or down accordingly to avoid coming up short on uphill approaches.

Wind from Lake Kasumigaura can affect ball flight on exposed holes, so check wind direction and consider playing lower shots when it gets gusty.

Bentgrass greens are typically smooth and can run quick in cooler months, so focus on lag putting and carefully read subtle breaks.
