Wide fairways reward accurate tee shots and allow aggressive lines, but at 7,217 yards the course still favors longer hitters so balance distance and accuracy when deciding strategy.

Ponds are strategically placed around several approaches and greens, so errant approaches are often penalized and conservative club selection can save strokes.

Being a forest (tree-lined) course, wayward tee shots can be blocked or lost among the trees, making fairway positioning essential.

Bentgrass greens have gentle undulations and will hold well, but subtle breaks mean precise approach landing spots and careful reads are important.

Many holes are sheltered from the wind by trees, yet exposed stretches can produce cross breezes—check wind direction at the tee and adjust club choice accordingly.
