Hachinohe Country Club, located in Sannohe-gun, Aomori Prefecture, is a historic course celebrating over 45 years since its opening. Designed by Akira Hotchi, the course features gently rolling fairways with strategically placed trees that add a thoughtful challenge to the game. Keep tee shots controlled rather than trying to overpower the course because the generally wide but gently rolling fairways reward accuracy given the strategically placed trees.

Confirm which of the two greens is in play before each approach as different greens change angles, yardages, and the best line into the pin.

Expect bentgrass putting surfaces that are typically true but subtle in slope, so focus on hitting the correct tier and avoid long, aggressive lag putts.

Watch the wind—coastal breezes can affect mid- and long-iron distances, so check conditions on exposed holes and adjust club selection accordingly.

Use the driving range and bunker practice area to warm up and dial in trajectory and bunker technique, since good short-game execution is often needed to save pars.
