The Jack Nicklaus design rewards strategic tee placement over raw distance, so favor accuracy to find the narrower landing areas.

Watch for ponds and rocky outcrops around landing zones and approaches, and play conservatively to the safer portion of the fairway when pinched.

Significant elevation changes mean club selection can swing a club or more—take extra club for uphill shots and reduce for downhill shots.

Bentgrass greens tend to be relatively firm and quick, so spend time reading subtle breaks and control your approach spin to avoid big numbers.

Wind is often light to moderate but becomes more pronounced on exposed, higher-elevation holes, so check the wind before every tee shot and adjust accordingly.
