The front nine is shorter and tight with thoughtful hole design, so favor controlled iron play and accuracy off the tee rather than trying to overpower holes.

Many fairways have split lines and forced angles—position your tee shots to leave the preferred side of the fairway for the best approach.

Large bentgrass greens have significant undulation, so prioritize hitting the correct portion of the green and focus on lag putting to avoid three-putts.

Watch for grass-lined bunkers around the greens; missed approaches often leave challenging up-and-down situations.

The back nine opens into wider fairways that invite longer tee shots, but be mindful of coastal breezes which can influence club selection on longer holes.
