Accuracy off the tee is more important than distance because narrow, tree‑lined fairways punish errant drives and reward conservative club selection.

Many greens are protected by numerous bunkers, so favor approach shots that target safe sides and leave uphill or short bunker‑free chips whenever possible.

The single bentgrass greens feature strategic undulation, so spend extra time reading subtle breaks and trust speed control over aggressive line‑taking.

Ponds and water hazards appear at key intervals—play the safer route when in doubt to avoid big numbers, especially on long par‑4s and par‑5s.

Remember soft spikes are mandatory and the course plays long, so choose tees wisely and manage your energy and club selection over 27 holes.

Located in inland Shiga, the course is sheltered by pine forest so wind is often mild on the fairways, summers are hot and humid with a June rainy season and occasional typhoons in late summer, while winters are cool but generally dry.
