Although the fairways are generally wide, the course is long (7110 yards) so prioritize distance and accuracy off the tee to set up manageable approaches.

Pay attention to coastal wind—club up or down depending on the breeze direction, since wind can significantly affect mid- and long-iron shots.

Many holes are separated by natural woodlands and subtle elevation changes, so choose clubs conservatively on downhill lies and plan for uphill approaches.

Approach shots must account for undulating bentgrass greens—aim for the correct tier, favor landing below the hole when possible, and read subtle breaks carefully to save strokes.
