Zao Country Club, located in Yamagata Prefecture, is a historic 18-hole course that first opened in September 1961 as the Tohoku region's earliest full course. Designed by renowned amateur golfer Tokiyuki Miyoshi, the course blends natural hilly and forested landscapes along the southwestern foothills of Mount Zao.
