Expect coastal wind off the Kanmon Strait and factor crosswinds into club selection, especially on exposed tees and approach shots.

The course is hilly—use club selection to account for elevation changes and take conservative lines where slopes push balls toward hazards.

Ride-on carts are permitted on fairways (except in winter), which helps with course management and pace of play; use them to reach long uphill tees and save energy.

Greens are bentgrass and typically smooth with subtle undulations, so focus on careful reads rather than overpowering your putts.

Night play is available — bring good lighting-aware routines and be conservative on blind or downhill approaches when visibility is reduced.
