The course is mostly flat but tree‑lined, so accuracy off the tee and avoiding the woods is more important than pure distance.

Fairways are relatively forgiving which makes conservative center‑of‑fairway tee shots a smart play for beginners and seniors.

Greens are bentgrass and generally true with subtle breaks, so take time to read speeds and trust short putts.

Winds are usually mild but can pick up in the afternoon or from Lake Kasumigaura, so check flag direction and adjust club selection accordingly.
