Accuracy matters more than length on this tree-lined, hilly course, so prioritize hitting fairways to avoid penalty areas and blocked approaches.

Account for elevation changes on many holes by taking one more club for uphill shots and one less for downhill shots to avoid coming up short or overshooting greens.

Several holes require carries over valleys and water—when in doubt, play a conservative layup to leave a comfortable approach rather than forcing risky carries.

The course uses bentgrass greens that tend to be true and can be moderately quick, so take time to read subtle breaks and control your approach spin.

Although many holes are sheltered by trees, exposed tees and ridges can be breezy, so check the flag and adjust club selection for wind conditions.

Located in the Kansai region near Tojo Lake, the area has hot, humid summers with a rainy season in June–July and occasional typhoons in late summer, while spring and autumn are generally mild and comfortable; winds are often light but can pick up on exposed, elevated holes.

Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) are the best times to play when temperatures are mild and the course is in prime condition.
