Takarazuka Golf Club is a historic and prestigious 36-hole course located in Hyogo Prefecture, boasting both old and new layouts. Established in 1926, it has evolved alongside the changing times while maintaining its classic charm. The original course was designed by Japan’s first professional golfer, Kakuji Fukui, and later expanded by notable designers. The newer course, known for its strategic bunkers and water features, was created by Gokichi Ohashi. Supported in its early days by a prominent railway founder, the club continues to foster member connections, including partnerships with sister clubs in Kanagawa.

The newer course is characterized by strategic bunkers and water—accuracy off the tee and avoiding hazard lines is more important than pure distance.

The original/older course uses the natural terrain and subtle contours, so play to landing areas that leave the easiest angle into the greens.

With two green types on site, expect bentgrass surfaces to run quicker and truer while zoysia (koma) greens tend to be slower and influenced by grain, so adjust putting speed accordingly.

At roughly 36 holes and a long total yardage, club selection and course management matter—favor position play over aggressive risk on narrow approaches.

Afternoon wind and local gusts can affect exposed holes, so check conditions and be ready to club up or down as the wind shifts.
