The course plays relatively short, so prioritize accurate club selection and distance control over trying to overpower the layout.

Three ponds come into play on several holes, so favor conservative lines and lay up when you are unsure of carry distances to avoid big numbers.

Fairways are generally flat and roomy but framed by stands of cedar and cypress, so miss-hits into the tree lines can lead to awkward recovery shots.

Bentgrass greens tend to be true and can be moderately quick, so read slopes carefully and control speed on long putts.

Watch for coastal or valley breezes on exposed holes—adjust club selection accordingly, especially on approach shots to the smaller greens.
