Accuracy off the tee is more important than length on this tree‑lined forest course, so favor controlled tee shots over big but wayward drives.

Water hazards affect 10 holes and are especially penal around the 16th pond and the island‑like 18th fairway, so plan conservative tee placement and precise club selection into those holes.

Expect a steady Pacific breeze that can change club choices—check wind direction at the tee and adjust for crosswinds and headwinds on exposed holes.

Greens are bentgrass and generally receptive, but subtle breaks reward careful reads and approach placement.

Soft spikes are required, so wear appropriate shoes and be prepared for firm-to-receptive conditions depending on recent weather.
