The course is hilly so always factor elevation changes into club selection—you will often need to club up for uphill shots and club down for downhill approaches.

Fairways are generally wide but many holes are long, so prioritize accuracy off the tee and consider laying up on reachable but risky approaches to avoid difficult recovery lies.

Bentgrass greens are maintained well and have moderate speed with subtle breaks, so take your time reading putts and aim to leave yourself below the hole when possible.

The highland setting can be exposed to steady winds, especially on elevated tees with views of the Hotaka range, so adjust club choice for wind direction and strength.

Soft spikes are required; make sure footwear is compliant and be prepared for uneven lies and sloped stances across the hilly routing.
