The course’s island-green short hole requires a precise approach and makes wind direction and strength especially important on the shot into the green.

Accuracy off the tee is rewarded over raw distance because the strategic design often favours well-placed drives and penalizes wayward shots.

Bentgrass greens are reasonably well-contoured and accept precise approaches, so leaving your approach on the correct tier will make putting significantly easier.
