Fairways are generally wide but the course is designed to reward precise shot placement rather than pure distance.

Expect strong and changing winds on the seaside holes—adjust club selection and aim for controlled shots into the wind.

With about 40 meters of total elevation change, pay attention to uphill and downhill yardages and club accordingly.

Approach shots must be accurate because the bentgrass greens reward precision and can have subtle breaks.

At 6,775 yards from the back tees, length can be a factor so balance distance with accuracy to avoid trouble.
