Make use of the generally wide fairways but avoid the birch and fir tree lines that can block recovery shots.

Several ponds and streams come into play, so favor smart tee placement to leave the best angles into the greens rather than always trying to overpower the holes.

Greens are bentgrass with moderate speed and subtle contours, so prioritize accurate approach shots and read putts carefully rather than attacking aggressively.

Although overall terrain is gentle, some middle holes play long so carry enough clubs for distance and be willing to lay up when in doubt.

Wind from the nearby Karikachi Pass can be gusty and changeable, so check conditions on the tee and adjust club selection and shot shape accordingly.
