The course is generally flat with wide, forgiving fairways so prioritize accuracy off the tee over pure distance to avoid tree trouble.

Birch and conifer trees line many holes, so favor controlled tee shots and avoid large hooks or slices that can find the woods.

Greens are bentgrass and can run fairly quick on warm sunny days but slow when cool or damp, so pay close attention to pace on approach shots and putts.

Wind from the surrounding hills can be gusty and change direction, so check flags on the tee and adjust club selection accordingly.

Seasonal flowers and wet areas near fairway edges can catch errant shots, so aim for the center of landing zones and play conservatively around tight pins.
