Play each of the three nines (Fuji, Hakone, Amagi) according to its individual demands and favor position over distance off the tee to avoid trouble on tight or sloping landing areas.

Expect frequent elevation changes so adjust club selection for uphill approaches and take less club on long downhill shots.

Wind from Suruga Bay can be variable and stronger on exposed holes, so always check wind direction from the cart GPS and factor it into long shots.

Bentgrass greens tend to be firm and quick, so focus on distance control into the greens and use the driving range and bunker practice to dial in trajectory and spin.

The course has a mild maritime climate with regular sea breezes from Suruga Bay, a rainy season in June–July, possible typhoon influence in late summer/early autumn, and generally mild winters with little snow.

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the mildest weather and the clearest views, while the rainy season (June–July) and typhoon-prone late summer are best avoided.

When entering the clubhouse, wearing slippers, T-shirts, or other extremely casual attire may result in refusal of entry or a request to change clothes before entering. Wearing low socks and mock shirts is permitted.
