Wide fairways and gentle rolling terrain reward conservative tee shots, so favor accuracy over taking unnecessary risks off the tee.

Many holes have elevation changes so adjust club selection for uphill and downhill approaches to avoid coming up short or overshooting greens.

Mountain and lakeside exposure can create variable crosswinds, so check the wind carefully and aim accordingly on exposed tee shots and approaches.

Bentgrass greens are typically true but can hide subtle breaks, so spend extra time reading putts and be conservative on long lag putts.

Stay out of the tree-lined rough and lakeside areas by keeping tee shots in play, and note that soft spikes are recommended due to damp highland conditions.

The Nasu highland is generally cooler than lowland Kanto with chilly mornings and evenings, frequent early-morning fog, a distinct rainy season in June, occasional gusty mountain winds on exposed holes, and cold snowy winters at higher elevations.

Late spring through early autumn (May–October) is ideal, with especially pleasant conditions in late spring and during the autumn foliage period, while June’s rainy season and snowy winter months are best avoided.
