Wide, flat fairways lined with red pines and birches make tee shots forgiving, but the course length (7017 yd) rewards distance off the tee.

Water hazards are pivotal on the 8th (a pond carry with views toward Mt. Fuji) and the island-like 18th green, so prioritize accurate approaches over aggressive lines.

Bunkers are strategically placed around landing areas and greens, so choose clubs conservatively to avoid recovery shots.

Bentgrass greens generally roll true but feature subtle undulations, so hit firm approaches and take extra time to read breaks.

Wind can be variable and gusty near Mt. Fuji, so always check wind direction and adjust club selection on exposed holes.

Situated at the base of Mt. Fuji in Yamanashi, the course has a mountain-influenced climate with cool mornings, significant day–night temperature swings, frequent clear conditions but occasional fog, a rainy season in early summer, and possible gusty winds on exposed holes; winters can be cold with occasional snow.

Late spring (May) and autumn (September–November) offer the most pleasant temperatures and the clearest views of Mt. Fuji, while the rainy season in June and winter (frost/snow) are less ideal for play.
