The hilly layout produces frequent uphill and downhill shots so adjust club selection for elevation changes rather than yardage alone.

Northern coastal winds can be strong and variable, so factor wind into aiming and club choice, especially on exposed holes.

Bentgrass greens tend to run firm in summer—play conservative approaches to the middle of the green and be precise with putt speed.

Make use of the 65‑yard driving range, putting green, and approach practice before the round to dial in distances, bunker shots, and putting.

Be aware of local wildlife such as foxes and squirrels which may cross fairways and occasionally affect play.
