Mihara Country Club, located in Mihara city, Hiroshima, is a mountain course that opened in 1968. Designed by Isuke Izumi, the course harmonizes with the natural surroundings and offers comfortable play year-round due to minimal winter snowfall. Each of the 18 holes has its own unique nickname, reflecting varied features that make the course both scenic and challenging. The layout includes notable elevation changes, especially on the front nine, providing opportunities to test golfing skills. Key holes, such as the right dogleg 4th, the water-protected 13th, and the downhill 18th with a pond to the right, require precision and careful shot planning. The classic clubhouse exudes a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by electric carts and a large bathhouse, perfect for unwinding after a round. Mihara Country Club is accessible within 20 minutes from Mihara Station and about 12 km from Hongo IC on the Sanyo Expressway.

The front nine features notable elevation changes so club selection and distance control are crucial on both uphill and downhill shots, and exposed tees can be affected by coastal breezes.

Hole 4 is a right dogleg so favor a controlled fade or a conservative layup off the tee rather than trying to carry the corner.

The 13th is protected by water around the green so prioritize accuracy on approach shots and choose a club that avoids bringing the hazard into play.

The downhill 18th with a pond to the right rewards a tee shot aimed left-center of the fairway and conservative iron play into the green to avoid the water.

Bentgrass greens tend to be true and can play quicker than expected, so focus on lag putting and read subtle breaks carefully.
