Meishi Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. The gently rolling terrain retains much of its natural character, creating a setting that feels like it was made for golf from the start. Designed by renowned architect Osamu Ueda, the course balances playability for beginners and a challenge for advanced players. Many tee shots feature downhill shots, allowing novice and intermediate golfers to enjoy a relaxed round from the regular tees. Meanwhile, playing from the back tees presents a tighter, more demanding test as pine forests closely line the fairways, reflecting the designer’s original vision. The course features bentgrass greens and recommends soft spikes for shoes.

You can practice at this course! Take advantage of the practice range to warm up before your round or work on your skills.

打球建议

Many tee shots are played downhill so consider clubbing down one or two clubs to avoid excessive roll into hazards or rough.

From the back tees fairways are tightened by pine-lined corridors so favor accuracy and aim for the middle of the landing area rather than trying to cut corners.

Approach shots should prioritize being on the correct level of the green because the bentgrass surfaces are true and can be quick when firm, making two-putts challenging if you miss far from the hole.

On exposed ridges check wind direction and strength at the tee and adjust ball flight and club selection accordingly to account for sea breezes and gusts.

Wear soft-spike shoes for better traction on slopes and around greens, and use the regular tees for a more relaxed, beginner-friendly round.

The area has a humid subtropical climate with a rainy season in June, hot humid summers with occasional afternoon thunderstorms and typhoon risk in late summer, and mild, relatively stable spring and autumn conditions; coastal proximity can bring variable sea breezes and gusts.

Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most comfortable conditions with mild temperatures and stable weather, while avoid the June rainy season and peak typhoon risk in late summer.

This course is a members-only golf club. Men are required to wear a jacket when entering (except from May to October). Entry will be refused if you come dressed in casual attire such as jeans, T-shirts, sneakers, or sandals.
