The front nine is relatively flat with several strategic ponds—accuracy off the tee is more important than pure distance to keep out of water hazards.

The back nine has more rolling terrain and elevation changes, so take extra care with club selection on approach shots when you have uphill or downhill lies.

Bentgrass greens are moderately fast with subtle breaks, so spend time reading putts and favor conservative lines to avoid three-putting.

Highland breezes can pick up in the afternoon, so monitor wind and adjust yardages using the GPS-equipped cart, especially on exposed holes.
