Adjust club selection for significant uphill and downhill holes because elevation changes on the plateau noticeably affect distance.

Some holes feature strategic bunkering and sloping fairways so accuracy off the tee is rewarded despite generally generous landing areas.

Expect frequent crosswinds and gusts on the plateau, so play one club more into the wind and aim to the side with more room.

The single large bentgrass green is receptive but can play fast and have subtle breaks, so take extra time to read long putts.

Dress in layers and use soft spikes; mornings can be cool and visibility may be reduced by fog, while conditions can change quickly.
