Wide fairways reward a conservative tee—favor position over maximum distance to leave easier approach angles and avoid the surrounding trees.

Expect noticeable elevation changes on many holes so adjust club selection (club up for uphill, club down for downhill) and allow for runout on downhill lies.

Bentgrass greens are usually smooth and can be moderately quick, so take time to read subtle breaks and aim to leave your approach shots below the hole.

Wind can be changeable on the ridges and in tree openings, so check conditions from elevated tees and be prepared to alter club choice and shot shape.

Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) are best for mild temperatures, stable weather, and clear views, while early morning tee times are recommended in summer to avoid heat.
