Katsuragaoka Country Club is a hilly 18-hole course designed by Robert Bon Heggie, located in Ibaraki Prefecture. The course features gentle elevation changes but challenging undulations, with numerous sand and grass bunkers adding to the complexity. The front nine offers a relatively easier start, while holes like the intimidating 4th, sand-surrounded 8th, and water-guarded 9th present significant challenges. The back nine includes several tough holes with water hazards near key holes such as the 10th, 16th, and 18th. Easily accessible via the Joban Expressway from Misato IC in about 75 minutes, it offers a stress-free golf experience.

The course's gentle elevation changes combined with pronounced undulation make club selection and landing position on approaches critical to avoid big rolls.

Numerous sand and grass bunkers are placed in strategic spots, so prioritize accuracy off the tee to keep short- and mid-iron approaches open.

On the front nine be cautious around the notable holes—play conservatively on the demanding 4th, avoid the sand-ringed 8th, and take care with the water-guarded 9th.

The back nine features water hazards near the 10th, 16th and 18th, so favor position over distance on riskier tee shots and lay up when necessary.

Greens are bentgrass and can be quite undulating, so spend extra time on reads and focus on speed control to avoid three-putts.
