J Golf Tsurugashima is a challenging public golf course located within the Okumusashi Natural Park in Hidaka, Saitama. The 18-hole, 6,876-yard layout features bentgrass greens and varied terrain, including uphill, downhill, and dogleg holes, offering an engaging experience for golfers of all levels. Conveniently accessible by car from the Kan-Etsu Expressway and with a shuttle service from JR Komagawa Station, it provides easy access for visitors. The spacious clubhouse includes well-equipped locker rooms, and the facility also offers a 200-yard driving range with 15 bays. Caddie services are available upon request, even if not bookable online.

The hilly terrain means you should favor careful club selection—take an extra club for uphill approaches and consider one less for long downhill shots.

Many holes feature doglegs and blind tee shots, so position-oriented tee shots and course management are more important than raw distance.

Bentgrass greens tend to be relatively true and can run quick depending on conditions, so focus on controlling approach distance and putting below the hole when possible.

Elevated tees and exposed ridges make wind a factor on several holes, so check wind direction from the tee and play a lower ball flight when it’s gusty.

Use the on-site driving range to dial in how slopes affect your yardages and to practice recoveries from uphill and downhill lies.

As an inland Kanto course the area has hot, humid summers with a rainy season in June and typhoon risk in late summer, mild and generally dry autumns, cool winters with morning frost and occasional light snow, and changeable breezy conditions in spring.

Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–November) provide the most comfortable temperatures and more stable weather, avoiding the June rainy season and late-summer typhoons.
