Iwamura Country Club is a scenic 18-hole mountain course located at 600 meters elevation in Ena, Gifu Prefecture. Known for its stunning 360-degree panoramic views and refreshing highland breeze, the course offers a comfortable playing environment with cooler temperatures than nearby Nagoya. Designed to be stylish and spacious, it caters to average players with a forgiving layout while providing a challenging test for competitive golfers. Equipped with advanced GPS-guided carts and multiple panoramic holes, the club also features excellent practice facilities including natural turf, green approaches, and bunkers. You can practice at this course! Take advantage of the practice range to warm up before your round or work on your skills.

Use the GPS cart yardages and account for elevation—uphill approaches at 600 m often require an extra club compared with sea level distances.

Play to the center of the fairways rather than chasing distance, as the course is designed to reward accuracy and avoid penal rough and bunkers.

Bentgrass greens are generally true but can be subtly undulating, so read breaks carefully and avoid aggressive long putts until you know the speed.

Expect variable highland breezes on exposed panoramic holes and adjust club selection accordingly, especially on mid- and long-irons.

Take advantage of the excellent practice facilities to dial in your short game and bunker play, which will save strokes on the receptive greens.

At about 600 meters elevation the course is generally cooler than nearby lowlands, with refreshing highland breezes that can pick up during the day; mornings and evenings are noticeably cooler, and winters bring frost and occasional snow, while summers remain pleasant compared with Nagoya.

Late spring (May–June) and early autumn (September–October) offer the most comfortable temperatures and stable weather, while summer is pleasantly cool at elevation and winter can be cold with possible frost or snow.
